Bed in Guarantee

We bought a bed in May 2009 at Dial a Bed at Cape Gate.
Now, not even 4 years later, the bed is completely bust. To start off with, the base did not last us 3 months. I left it, did not want to make a scene. We then had to buy a new base for the mattress. NOW, we can barely sleep due to this mattress??? Now, who is to blame? What now? Do I have to buy a mattress every 4 years? If this is the case, WHY???
In the beginning the mattress was HEAVEN, we bought the bed as my wife needed something more comfy and higher off the groud as she was pregnant at the time.
Could someone please get back to me regarding this terrible problem?
