Avoid Budget Auto by any means necessary!

I bought a Groupon voucher for a major service at Budget Auto. I took my car in, clearly stating that I only want the service, nothing else.

Later on I received a call from them, with a whole list of faulty parts needing to be replaced. Again I said that I just wanted the service to be done. The person also asked me if I have replaced my fan belt, and I said yes.

Five minutes later, they phoned me back, saying that they meant CAM belt. My CAM belt needs to be replaced. What kind of mechanic would confuse the two? In addition, my fuel injectors had to be replaced before they could continue with the service. When I said, yet again, that I do not want to have anything else done, the man became short and rude with me, saying that they refuse to service my car unless I have all of those parts replaced by them.

I contacted Groupon about the situation and they have informed me that they have blacklisted Budget Auto from ever doing business with them again. Groupon handled it very professionally and refunded me. I urge anyone to NOT take their cars to Budget Auto. The complaints here on Hellopeter are frightening. I am just glad I got my car back in one piece.
