I bought a Groupon to have my car serviced at Budget Auto in Kenilworth. I had never bought a Groupon before, so didn't think much before I purchased it. Afterwards, I did research about the company that will be doing the service, and came across some complaints from people who had bought Groupons and claimed that Budget Auto took advantage of them and they ended up driving away paying thousands for extra work done on their car that Budget Auto had claimed was faulty! I was very weary of this, as I bought the Groupon in the first place because money is tight, so I made sure that they knew NOT to touch anything else. I ended up paying R400 extra for 'special' spark plugs, and when I left, my car was making a horrible noise, shaking, and my wheel alignment is out!!! They told me my timing chain is about to snap, and if they were me they wouldn't even drive the car home and they can fix it for me for R2250 the next day! When I got home I researched this, I have a Citroen) spoke to Citroen, French Car Service Centre, and several mechanics who all said they have NEVER had to change that chain before and if I need it done I have to get the part shipped from France. Becareful people!!!
