On Monday 13 January I booked my car in for a service with Kempston Knysna. On the due date of Thursday 16 January I took it and dropped it at the dealer. When I asked for a courtesy car I was told that they couldn't give me one because these had to be kept for other clients. Later on in the day I got a phone call to say they couldn't remove my wheels because they didn't have the tool (which I had with me). A big issue was made of them not having this tool and when I asked if I couldn't bring it in at a later stage for them to check this, they said that they still had to replace the timing belt which would arrive the following morning - according to the book this has to be changed at the service my car was booked in for, so why wasn't it ordered earlier? When I again asked for a courtesy car, for an hour the Friday morning, I was told they only have 2 and they are both with other clients now. I received my car back on Friday afternoon, the Malfunction Indicator Light is on (which should have been picked up) and the tool for my wheels is snapped and glued on skew. Also, the service which I was quoted to cost R800 ended up costing me R2500!! I am so disgusted I am looking to get a new car!
