Usage of Transkei name

I heard Malanie Bala on the 08:00 (20/12/2013) news today reporting on the bus accident between Queenstown and Cofimvaba refering to some parts of Eastern Cape as Transkei, please stop using that word at all as Transkei was its own country under apartheid and no longer exist and its offending to me to use Transkei as its associated with apartheid.
