Pest Control Specialists
No response or compensation for death and damage

In December 2012, because I hate putting poisons down, I landed up being over-run with rats and decided to bring in a "professional" pest control company, who assured me REPEATEDLY that their system would have no secondary effect. They put poison down in very expensive traps (almost exactly the same ones being sold in Midfeeds at one third of the price). The outcome was the poisoning of one of my dogs who was clinically dead and cost over R10, 000 to save -- which I am still paying off -- and the loss of a family of three mongoose, over which I am still absolutely gutted. I am sure there was other fallout.
I never received the follow-up visit promised by this company in January and not ONE response to my repeated emails or calls over this year asking them how they intended to address the damages and for an explanation as to how a system they assured me was 100% safe, not only safety failed but cost me money both to install and in vet's bills. Bottom line is we need to be ultra cautious with the use of any pest control system and deeply suspicious of any company claiming to be professional pest control specialists.
Time to name and shame. They've had a YEAR to respond.
