My 65-year-old mother has been without electricity in Zone 2 Diepkloof -Soweto for 3 DAYS!!! initially she thought there was a power cut to the area but later discovered that it is only her house that is without electricity. We recharged her meter but the token did not go through coz we can't access the meter because there is no power - Day 1. Day 2 - my mother calls the call center, a call is logged they tell her the issue will be resolved in 4 hrs, nothing happens, she gets an sms saying power resolved but nothing. she calls again speaks to another agent, another calls is logged and she is told to wait another 4 hrs, nothing happens - Day 2. Day 3 - I call the call center at about 9:00 another call is logged im told 4 hrs and it is now 16:00 and the day is drawing to a close - and still nothing. In between 9 and 4 today I have spoken to almost 6 different agents who all cannot give me a definite answer, other than "the technician has been dispatched" - really? since yesterday it has been sitting on that status.
she now has food that is going off in her fridges - who is going to replace her food??? WHO???
Please help with restoring power - its DAY 4 now...
