I ordered a surprise gift for my mother's birthday about 2 weeks before the occasion for delivery on 21 November 2013. This was fully paid for at the time of the order. On Friday 22 November, I asked my mother whether a delivery had arrived and she said no. I contacted "Gift in a Box" on Sunday and Monday and was told by a "Isabelle" that the courier had tried to deliver on Thursday and Friday and had phoned my mother's home. My mother was at home and had received no phone calls - she has an answering machine and caller ID so she would have picked up if there was a call / message. They finally delivered at 17.30 yesterday (Monday). The reason I am posting this complaint is due to the shocking service I have received from GIFT IN A BOX - surely if a company uses couriers, you should ensure that the delivery is made on time and not only follow up because the client queries it. And the final note - I sent "Isabelle" an email to confirm that the delivery had finally taken place - AND SHE DELETED MY EMAIL WITHOUT READING IT! A most unprofessional company that I will MOST DEFINITELY NEVER do business with again!!!
