Misrepresentation of Facts and poor workmanship

I had my vehicle bonnet covered partially with paint protection film at VPS Fitment centre in Pinetown. I had the unfortunate incident of encountering stone chips on the exposed paintwork. Upon taking this to the Fitment Centre, Brett advised conveniently (with the comment that a new "modified" film was available now..seems like caution is evaded when customers are few) that they now could cover the whole bonnet.
The workmanship was shocking... crease patches appeared at various points. A large scratch was visible on the film clearly visible to anyone. The reality was that the vehicle appearance was much more acceptable with a few minor stone chips. Brett refused to give me a complete refund, still wanting to be paid for his labour. I accepted the partial refund and am now taking my vehicle to a competitor company. Paint Protection application is not cheap, and the very least one can expect is honesty, and acceptable workmanship. Consider your options carefully when dealing with such companies and their representatives.
