Kia Sorento accident damage, not disclosed

Cars & Transport

I have sent the following email to Kia Support on 19 April 2013: "I have a 2009 Kia Sorento 2.5 Diesel and took delivery of it on 12 December 2011 at the Kia dealer in George. The vehicle is second hand and overall I am very happy with it, except that I have discovered that the bonnet was resprayed - the paintwork is becoming dull to the rest of the body and after a stone chip on the front, I realised that it is not the original paintwork. (rust is appearing and it is definitely not the original paintwork) The paint on the front bumper is also starting to show signs of poor paintwork, as the paint is cracking. The rubber on the right front that seals against the door rubber, looks like its disintegrating. The vehicle has done 99000km's and I don't think that it is normal wear and tear. Regarding the paintwork, I can understand that the vehicle might have been in an accident, but doesn't Kia make use of approved Paint and panel shops, like BMW, Nissan, etc? I was also not aware of the damages when I bought the Kia - I might have not bought it if I knew. I hope and trust that you could assist me in this matter". Despite 7 follow up emails and promises to get back to me, nobody has.
