Targa Panel Beaters
Dishonest, sloppy work

Miscellaneous

On 21/01/2013 I took my car in to Targa Panelbeaters on instruction by Outsurance.

More than 3 weeks and many stories later I was told I could collect my car on Wednesday 13 February.
When I got the vehicle I had to ask them to polish out a surface scratch in the centre of my bonnet that was not there when I took the vehicle in. He denied responsibility, but agreed polish the scratch out.
When I arrived home I noticed the indicator light's clip had been broken and it was hanging by the wire on the side of the car. The paint had not been blended into the adjacent panels and had 'orange peel' defects in many places and the bumper had chips in the new paint! I took the car back so they could fix it. When I got the car back on 19 Feb there was two new scratches in the bonnet, more than 7cm and deep. Freddy denied responsibility and told me "they were under the paint and was exposed when they polished the bonnet". I logged a complaint with Outsurance but Freddy convinced them that they had to pay for the entire bonnet to be painted as well, which they did. I got my car back on 11 March. (7weeks!)
Targa will damage your car to get more money, they are dishonest and do poor work!
