Cape Pet-O-Tel..Don't go there!

Bookd my Malamute and mom's arthritic 12yr old dog into Cape-Pet-O-Tel, Ottery Cape Town. Only to find at drop off broken slatted platforms to sleep on. No bedding. Not even straw. Told "dogs rip it up so dont supply anymore".(If only I knew.) Finally and reluctantly they brought 2 cushions that "belonged to other customers". Dont know if our dogs had the option of use. Worried us (especially my 83 year old mother) and spoilt our holiday. On return I requested to speak to the owner. I was shocked at the attitude. They told me I was "on a mission" (quite rightly, athough at all times I respectfully tried to get the point across that my dogs are used to better sleeping arrangements and that I was not informed as to the option of bringing my own bedding. They. Denied. Accused me (as if I was in the wrong!) sic and finally presented me with a ripped cushion, as if a "coup de grace" (although my dog is not prone to such behaviour). Finally telling me I was not the type of customer they wanted. I struggle with the fact that they "have been doing this for the last 35 years" because they "love" dogs! Me thinks they have no idea how to deal with customers let alone dogs. Don't go there!
