Unethical Vetinary Conduct

I am appalled at the service and conduct of Faerie Glen Animal Clinic and Doggy Parlour. I booked my dog in for a summer cut on Saturday, she seemed very unresponsive when I collected her but I didn't think too much of it. Until I got home and realised she couldn't walk properly and was unable to control her bladder. We then realised that her pupils were dilated and she was very disorientated. we returned to the vet to query what had happened to be told that she had been sedated as she was aggressive towards the handlers. I find this completely unacceptable and unethical. at no point was any attempt made to contact us to discuss this or to obtain our consent which I feel should be essential. In addition no information was obtained in terms of allergies, epilepsy etc - what if the animal had an adverse reaction to the drugs? How can you put your trust in professionals that conduct business in this manner? the response from the practice vet Liesel was the worst part about it "all I can say is sorry and it should wear off in 12 hours" absolutely shocking!!!
