4 operations for the same thing!!!

Our dog was diagnosed with a raptured cruciate ligament on 3 August 2013. It is now 29 October 2013 and she has already had 4 operations due to on going complications! The vet that assisted us is Dr Hans and he still cannot explain why after 3 operations our dog did not heal as she was supposed to. He himself is confused and cannot offer an explanation as to why our dog has had 3 complications and thus required a 4th operation for the same injury?? Also for a 24-hour animal clinic they still feel they can charge increased fees when an animal is brought in after-hours, how is this justified? The reception staff are also very inefficient with communicating as after being asked numerous times to please let Dr Hans or one of the other vets call us and give us an update on our dogs condition as well as when they think she can go home after the 4th operation they failed to do so. When we call all they can say is that the Dr is very busy. I don't think we are being unreasonable asking the Dr to phone us with an update after the FOURTH operation. In conclusion, we really hope they can improve their service and communication skills so that they can avoid situations like this in the future.
