NON PAYMENT FORCES FAMILY BUSINESS TO CLOSE

Miscellaneous

D Doc was a family owned business operating for over 10 years, and supplied freight services to AMAP/Tedelex. On a monthly basis they deducted large amounts from the money they owed based on false claims of missing freight. Proof of all deliveries were provided. This caused a major cash flow problem and forced the company into liquidation. Subsequent to the liquidation, it became known that their own staff, Mr Sada Pillay and "Barbie" were operating an illegal ring and an insurance and the accusations were made to cover their own illegal activities. Armed with acquired documentation the AMAP directors were approached with a claim to recover all the illegal deductions which destroyed the family business. Mr Bruce Drummond responded with a negative response on the grounds that an investigation would prove lengthy and costly. Mr Drummond also pointed out that since the incident, the Board of Directors had changed. Mr Herman Ellis who sits on the current board of Directors, was the Operations Manager at the time, who gave the instructions to deduct money. I am 78 and my wife 68 and thanks to AMAP's unethical business practise we are still working with no retirement funds left
