I contacted the supplier to buy a bike that was advertised on Gumtree. He did not want to accept my offer and suggested another bike. I took the bike for a test drive. I asked on several occasions the year model of the bike, and both the owner and his employee told me the bike was registered in 2013. I told the owner I was interested but he must first replace the tyre, and service the bike, he discounted the bike instead and asked me to pay 1320 zar into his account for the tyre, his words " if something goes wrong the money is fully refundable". I paid the money. He prepared the paper work. When I got to his shop I again ask him what year model the bike was, again he said the bike is registered in 2013. I asked him again my words "so you are saying this is a 2013 model only then did he say no he is not sure it could be 2012 2009 or 2007. I said to him well I am not interested, and the guy started to get upset. I left saying well maybe it is n misunderstanding, only to find that the bike was advertised on gumtree as a 2007 model. I asked that my money be refunded and even offered that he only refund 1000 as compensation for the effort of replacing the tyre. He ignored me.
