No longer have a tv but still have to pay

Despite all the times Iv informed tv license department that I no longer have a tv (It was in a break in last year) they still send me warning about handing me over to their lawyers. This is not fair. Why should I carry on and pay for something I no longer have or use. Please attend to this matte
