Pathetic!

27 May 2013 I posted off a parcel to the UK intended for a birthday surprise for my friend and his daughter. To date nothing has arrived in the UK. When I posted it at the counter at the Cresta Post Office, I double checked with the teller that the parcel is going AIRFREIGHT as I specified and paid for and not surface mail also that it will go to the UK and not USA as she had entered into the system as the Country for the postal address. I felt a little uneasy walking out but had to take her word and be satisfied. It takes about 10 working days for a parcel to reach the UK via AIRFREIGHT and it would have been in time for the birthdays but no parcel has yet arrived. Today, 21 June, I called the T&T (track and trace) department and was told that the parcel only left on the 30th from Durban and went as surface delivery!!! I am furious and irritated at the lack of discipline of the sorting departments. I will NOT trust our country's postal service ever again! My only hope is that the parcel actually arrives in the UK!!!
