I contacted the Eskom Customer Service Call Centre on 05 May 2013 after mistakenly using a wrong meter number to purchase electricty. the transaction was done via online banking. The Call Centre Operator said that she will log a call for me and gave me reference number 94225655 to use when making follow-ups.
After no response, I contacted the Centre on 27 May. I was told that the issue had not yet been resolved.

I contacted the Centre again on 07 June and was assisted by Nompilo who was despondent right from the start. After rephrasing my query numerous times (to her irritation) she told me that I would have to visit the local Eskom branch to resolve the matter. I asked her why I was never told this in the firs instance and she said that a Veronica Mynyard from Daveyton Service Centre had called me on 28 May. I have not received a call from anyone at Eskom.
Although the response from the call centre has never been satisfactory, the first two operators that I spoke to had a friendly disposition and inspired confidence. it would be good for somebody from Eskom to respond to the calls logged, even if it is just to say that there is no solutions. That would be good customer service.
