Kloovenburg
Olive Festival - Entry To Kloovenburg Denied

Miscellaneous

Weekend passports were sold at various venues at R100 per ticket pp which included a glass and entry/tastings at a number of venues. My gripe is that all the venues we visited allowed entry without a passport. Obviously this did not include wine tasting. We didn't want to taste wine. We taste enough wine. Everywhere. We collect wine. After all, our purpose was to purchase. At none of these venues were the ticket sellers self-important. They quietly went about their task of selling passports to those who wanted and never denied entry to those who didn't want to taste wine but simply wanted to purchase food and products. Not so with Kloovenburg's gatekeepers. Their arrogant upstarts refused entry to all who did not possess passports. Who do the Kloovenburg clan think they are? The cream of the crop of Riebeek Valley? Ag puhleeaze. Just another grape and olve pit amongst many. During prvious olive festivals, Kloovenburg was one of the places we'd stock up on gifts for family and friends. Kloovenburg, never again will I purchase anything from you and neither will anyone else I know. You know what you can do with your products.
