Bought Serta Bed in Sept. 2009

Hello I am Wendy, I bought a bed in Sept 2009 of more than R5000 at the Furniture City in N1 Goodwood, I laid a complaint in the first year at Furniture City with a gentleman with the name Graham concerning my mattress that springs is coming out of the mattress. Serta collected the bed while I was working and brought it back while I was at work. I laid another complaint and inform Furniture City once again and they inform me that they will contact Serta immediately, by the time I made inquiry Graham was no longer working at Furniture city. Can you please assist cause I need to pay Serta R1450 for a new mattress while I was put under the impression that I had a guarantee of 10 years on my Serta Bed. Serta inform me that I only have a warranty on the bed and the warrantee is the amount of R1450 that I need to pay. Am I being unrealistic about this or am I going the wrong way about this. Please help.
