Why the attitude?

MBD Attorneys are handling my Edgars account, and yes I do owe them money, yes I am behind in my payments but come on, being rude is totally unnecessary! All I did was ask a simple question, "do you have a section where notes are kept on your system? " that's it! What do I get, somebody who cannot speak clearly, getting stroppy! "Why should we keep notes? " ummmm because it keeps a record of the conversations and commitments? I have explained repeatedly that I have been unemployed for almost a year, I recently started working in a temporary position where I earn a weekly wage, my husband was also retrenched in December and is working privately. therefore, our income is sporadic and VERY low at this time. it is very difficult, impossible actually, for me to make promises regarding frequency and value of payments I can make. As funds become available, I can make a payment! its not ideal, but right now, its the best I can do. there is no need to treat people with disrespect and be rude to them. that is why i put the phone down in the lady's ear, if you dont have the courtesy to treat me with respect, i refuse to speak with you!
