False Debt Trace Alert and Harassment

I received a SMS in January notifying me of a Credit Trace Alert that will be put on my. I tried calling the number given in the SMS - No reply, Left my details for them to call me back. I have just had a phone call from JM Attorneys. and by the complaints on HP I am not the only one.
They are saying that my account was handed over to them in 2001. (LeisureNet was liquidated on November 30, 2000) And we need to discuss payment on the 5000 odd rand that I owe.
They cant tell me when my contract was signed, they cant give me a detailed statement, I need to first agree to payment terms before they can discuss contract and statements with me.
I have never had a Health and Racquet Club contract. How can they contact me in 2013 wanting this money?
I have already lodged a complaint about JM Attorneys at the Law Society. What are the next steps from here?
