BEWARE OF VVM DEBT COLLECTORS & THE SABC!!!

I emigrated to Europe in March this year, where I'm currently residing and likely to reside for a number of years. All my household goods, TV included, went into a Pickfords storage facility in December 2012 - proof available upon request.

Before leaving SA, I notified the SABC TV License Department accordingly, I emailed a copy of my airplane ticket to them and later provided further proof that I'm in Italy and I therefore cannot avail myself of the SABC's services (thank heavens and .. duh???).

Here I am, 8 months later with VVM Debt collectors on my back with repeated threats of legal action/judgment against me. I've tried logging a query via VVM's online portal - no success and I have no intention of trying again - time is money! VVM does not provide an email address for queries - one MUST use the online facility.

Continue with your ongoing harassment VVM and I will not only report you to the Law Society, but will see to it that you gain extensive negative media coverage. And I hope for your sake (and the SABC's) that there is no negative credit record against my name because of your joint incompetence! A mild warning from a law & media expert!!
