Why is my debt not decreasing

I fail to understand why I must carry on paying every month when the debt is not decreasing. I have been requesting a statement that shows all my payments and balances. But I get the same statement that I got 8 months ago. I'm not going to pay until this is sorted, or I will take this up with the Law Society of the Nothern Provinces.
