Cell C - Cancellation of Contract

02/08/2012 I sent a cancellation of contract letter (via email) to Cell C Customer Service Department (which is normal procedure) stating that I would like to cancel my 2 year contract which comes to an end at the end of October 2012.Ample time so that all necessary procedures would be followed in ensuring that this is executed (return receipt stating that the email was deleted without being read). 04/09/2012 They requested my cell number which I provided to them. Surprisingly enough I received an sms from their debt collector (Pholosa) on the 27/07/2013 (1 year later) stating that I owed Cell C an amount of R597.04. I contacted Pholosa and informed them of the situation, they asked to send an email to them and Cell C which I have done on the 02/08/2013 I received an sms from Pholosa last night again stating if no payment is made I will be handed over to an attorney. This morning (11/09/2013) I forwarded an e-mail to Pholosa and Cell C. This is Pholosa's response " We wish to record that despite numerous letters addressed to you, we have still not received a positive response from you in relation to the following outstanding account. R640.82. Pathetic service both Cell C & Pholo
