Promised Delivery but NOTHING. PROPOSAL RUINED

Ordered a ring on Monday, payment done on monday. Promised delivery on Wednesday. I phoned Wednesday morning and they still confirmed that it was on the way. I also have an email confirmation that it would be delived on wednesday. I waited at work as thats where it was to be delivered. They told me it would be there between business hours. I was at work until 7 but received nothing. i eventually phoned them and they then told me it would be delived on friday. now how the am i supposed to propose on Valentines day if the ring is only being delivered the day after. So i told then that i would like my money back so that i can go and buy another ring on time and they said the transfer has been started but i need to wait 6 working days to recieve my money. THIS IS RUBBISH
