Broken bed = broken back

We bought a relatively expensive memory foam bed (valued at R9 999) from 5Rooms. Within 2 weeks this bed had slumped and no longer offered any support for our backs.

Eventually after 4 months (in line with their returns policy) we put in a request for 5Rooms to pick up the bed and refund us for items that are "unsuitable for the purpose for which it was indicated in the product description" as my wife and I eventually needed to see physios for the damage this bed was causing to our backs.

This request was put in on 02.01.2013. I eventually got a response back on 08.01.2013. It was a further 3 weeks later (and at least 3 emails) that someone was finally sent to pick up the bed (29.01.2013). But this wasn't before 5Rooms had the nerve to tell me that even though I had bought the bed from them, I had to phone their supplier for this range of beds to arrange with the supplier that they pick up this bed.

Eventually 5Rooms arranged for the bed to be collected. It has now been almost 2 weeks since the bed was collected and in spite of sending them an email on 05.02.2013 asking for an update, I have not received any further information from 5Rooms.

This whole situation is unacceptable!
