A relative whose birthday is coming up has an affinity for a perfume no longer available in SA. My wife and I decided to try an on-line purchase. After an internet search, I found [URL Removed] a local company who could "import" the fragrance. On 21 October, I spoke telephonically to the sales manager, Wale (Wallee), and clearly asked if the package would arrive before 4 December 2013. He assured me that it is a seamless process and that it would 28 working days maximum for the package to reach me, after which I transferred the required funds and sent through proof of payment. On 24 October, my tracking number arrived and I began tracking the parcel, only to find NO further activity on the parcel. At first I let it slide as there was still plenty of time left. Over the last week, I started getting worried. When I asked for assistance, I was told to contact my Post office. I did. AND I contacted the National Call Centre. No such package in SA. I even tried USPS, but after 20 minutes of holding, I gave up. Then I called Wale again. I was informed that there could be a delay at customs, I have to wait and see. No Assistance? No Clear Timeframe? Not Cool, not cool at all.
