Last year we booked a weekend at Klipgooi by Vaal for October 2013 and paid the deposit. In January we advised the venue that we wanted to cancel. And now we were advised that the deposit will only be refunded if another booking for the same weekend is received. Reason given is that we are potentially putting the venue at risk of a loss and it is our responsibility until another booking is received! Even then a 10% cancellation fee will be charged. There is no cancellation policy stipulated in any of the documents received.
