Hosmed Medical Scheme
Late Joiner Penalty Review

When initially joining Hosmed, I was not informed about the procedure or information needed to avoid a late joiner penalty.
I have recently been made aware on this process and would like to make a declaration on previous medical scheme membership so that my penalty can be reviewed.
Please can you assist with this?
Previous medical scheme memberships were:
1972 to 1993 - i was on my ex-husbands employer medical schemes with the following companies (chartered accountants, metalbox & federal mogul).
1993 - my ex-husband joined Nampak and we were there until 2004 on the Nampak medical scheme taken over by Momentum.
I then joined Liberty medical scheme from 2005 to 2009.
In 2009 I joined Hosmed and have been there to date.
The total number of years above is about 40 years.
Surely these 40years should provide Hosmed with sufficient information to remove my late joiner penalty.
I have been trying to explain this to your company & I feel that the full info has not been taken into account.
