Mabalingwe Nature Reserve
Is it because I am BLACK???

I am utterly shocked and disgusted at some of our fellow citizens of SOUTH AFRICA, baring in mind we suppose to be a democratic land. Never the less, I am a colored female, dating a WHITE JEWISH male, and today I got treated like the lowest form of dirt by an employee (afrikaans lady) at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. I called to confirm my query on booking and prices, she did not even hesitate to tell me they are fully booked. Not even 5mins later my fiance tried, spoke to her in her native tongue (afrikaans) and he was assisted by saying she had room for him at a cost of R695.00p/p breakfast and dinner inclusive. Now i ask you, is it because I for one did not speak afrikaans to her (if so then lets try again and i will) or the fact that my skin and voice does not sound like hers? I am appalled that such people are allowed to work in the Hospitality field to begin with. I am not very proudly south african at this point in time and hope they do something about her poor call of judgement when it comes to her clients. Bet she didnt think i would have "one of hers" as my fiance hey! *SHOCKED AND TOTALLY SPEECHLESS*
