MSC Starlight Cruises
Going to Madagascar instead of 3 days in Mauritius

Health & Medicine

I believe that I wanted to go to go to Mauritius and that is why I booked on the Opera - I went in 2011 on the Melody to Madagascar - the cruise was excellent in every way except for Madagascar itself - the excursion that we paid $55 per person was disastrous to say the least! when I signed up to go to Mauritius I definitely had no intention to go back to Madagascar - I wanted an island get away - because I had organised to be with friends who are resident on the island who wanted to meet me and my family at Grant Baie to show us the island we were to meet them in Port Louis on the 2nd January, 2013 unfortunately we were told on the 1st January that the ship would be leaving at 23h30 because of a pending cyclone - surely with satellite tracking the Captain on Opera should have known of this phenomenon days before and should maybe have by-passed Reunion and gone straight to Mauritius and in that way had more time in our original destination - or should have gone off to the Seychelles/Zanzibar - we ended up island hopping. I am totally disgruntled, and would appreciate some positive response Are MSC vessels sea worthy for the Indian and Southern Atlantic Oceans?
