Excellent afternoon at Jakes, Steenberg

I organised my class's 10 year reunion at Jakes in Tokai and was so impressed with their quick responses to mail and with the effort they went to. They did not demand that there be a minimum spend per head (as did all the other restaurants I contacted) but rather gave us half of their outdoor area, supplied us with glasses and ice buckets and had two waitresses dedicated to our group (around 35 - 45 people). The whole afternoon was fantastic and their service was attentive but not pushy. At one point they brought out some free snacks for us which were fantastic. I feel like they went above and beyond for us and I really appreciate the effort they made. In the end, the venue was a large part in the success of the afternoon. Thanks Jakes!
