Last year Discovery informed Vitality members that they either need to join momentum or purchase a discovery product. My husband and I applied for a product at Discovery, and our broker could NOT get service from Discovery. Finally in January the process began and we did everything in time, the blood tests and questionnaires etc. We phoned numerous times, and it was promised that 1 Feb everything will be sorted out. This was not the case. Discovery then said (after confirmation that they had all the paper work they needed) that I had to fill in forms which they mailed to me. Forms which had nothing to do with me, and I found out someone filled in my Vitality checks online -wrongly! They could not prove that a mail was sent.
Due to the lack of service, the Vitality was only activated after 1 Feb - which meant my gym deducted a full monthly fee AND changed my contract without my knowledge and we did not receive the discount with kulula flights as promised.
I sent a mail to Discovery on 7th of Feb. They tell you they will come back in 5 days time. Today, 20th Feb they let me know they will not refund my money - without a reason.
Not to buy Discovery policy again. Poor poor poor.
