The Hangklip Hotel
Caged animals not taken care of!!

On entering their courtyard area, we noticed a very small dirty cage with rabbits and doves. The water bowl was bone dry and dirty and there was no food in the cage.

I went in, took the water bowl and filled it up. the doves swooped down and drank water and they were obviously very thirsty. The rabbits drank water for a long time. There is no space for the doves to fly - they can only move up or down in the very small cage. I went to the lady on duty at the bar and asked her for some lettuce for the rabbits. She very rudely said: " they have rabbit food". I told her that they don't have any food in their cage and neither does the doves. She ignored me and 20 min later a man came out with a small bucket of rabbit pellets.. no bird food.

If there is one thing that shows your character as a person, it is in the way you treat that/those who are dependent on you.
We will never support your little hotel again and are disgusted by the neglect you and your staff show towards these animals.

We have notified the authorities and they will soon be paying your hotel a visit.

Hopefully the animals are still alive... although I feel, they are better off dead than at Hangklip hotel.
