Disgusted with poor client service

In Oct 2012 my husband and I applied for Liberty's medical aid to commence on 1 Jan 13.The representative promised us the world, assuring us that this is the medical aid, the best option etc. On 1 Jan the deduction didn't go through and upon NUMEROUS calls made to Liberty, we was advised that the application was never handed in / processed. Eventually, on the 9th of Jan, we were "covered", just to be advised, after we were assured that there will be NO WAITING PERIOD whatsoever, that my husband is on a 3 month waiting period.

We then realized that we have been given false information by the representative, and I decided to lodge a complaint by sending an e-mail to the Complaints Department. This was done on 16 Jan 2013. On 21 Jan I got a call and e-mail from Shannon Petersen from the Liberty Contact Centre, ref nr: 34403697. I was promised that I will get a response. Up to today I still haven't had the courtesy of a response. We still haven't received our medical aid cards nor did we receive ANY information / booklets regarding this plan we chose.

This is ridiculous, to say the least. Totally disgusted. I am on the verge of referring this to the ombudsman / med council!
