I thought Medihelp is there to help you as client all the way!! But I apparently not. Me and my 2 boys are currently on the Prime 3 plan which works out to R 2 760.00 per month. Given the recent price increase e.g. school fees, petrol, water & electricity with no salary increase yet it is next to impossible to keep up with the monthly expenses.
I wrote a letter to Medihelp of which I am a member as from 01 November 2008 to request my scheme to be downgraded to Prime 3 which is lesser then what I am paying know as I cannot afford Prime 3 anymore.
There answer was simply NO you should have done this in the beginning of the year.
As if I knew of all this ridiculous increase a month in advance! The result is I have to cancel my medical aid with Medihelp after 4 and half years and seek elsewhere for more affordable medical aid.
Medihelp is probably losing a lot of its clients because of this.
