I am a member of Discovery, i am diabetic and the approved number of visits to see a specialist is 1, so i saw my specialist but he hasnt charged the medical aid as yet.

He called me back for another visit so i completed the form called APPLICATION FOR ADDITIONAL PMB VISITS. The doctor clearly stated why he needs to see and why he put me on a certain tablet.

I send the form to Discovery and they tell me that they cant approve the visits using that form, the doctor needs to write motivation on his letter head. Why cant they use that form. There is a block on the form that requires motivation, the doctor completed it, so why cant they use the form, why have the form if it is useless and they need a letter.

Ealier in the year i filled in the exact same form from another doctor for another condition and it was approved without a problem.

Then i rate the service as being bad, the lady called pallesa from the escalations department asks me why, i tell her why and she says she cant help its not her department. Why have an escalations department if they cant help you.

They are not consistant and have no common sense at all.
