My wife has been trying to get an approval for Clexane medication for 2 weeks. She is 10 weeks pregnant and requires it urgently as not taking these injections could be detrimental to hers and the babies health.
She is jumping through hoops for you, sending emails, faxes, getting documents signed and completed by her doctor. Each time she is told she needs something else. How is she supposed to know ICD10 codes? Why can't Discovery do something themselves? use some logic? Go the extra mile for a pregnant woman who is having a tough time as it is? Your call centre staff are rude, they make promises to call back and don't.

To top it all off, she went through this 4 years ago during her first pregnancy. You would think there would be records of it or a little bit of sense in granting this approval. She has had to pay for this medication out of her medical savings whilst waiting for the approval. Not only is it a costly (R 3000 per month) but I'm sure when she has to try get Discovery to reimburse the funds to her there will be another story.

I ask you with tears in my eyes, sort this out, provide some service and understanding.
