No new medical certificate

My husband went to see Dr Snyders on the 30th Jan 14 when she gave him a sick note for 2 days. He was diagnossed with a cyst in his thyroid. She then did us a favour by draining out the liquid. She then assured us he will still have pain for a few days and if he did not feel better he should call again. The next morning he had the same symptoms so we called Dr Snyders office and we were told to bring my husband so that he can be admitted into hospital. On friday he was admitted and he was released late saturday afternoon. She provided him with medication for the pain and antibiotics. Now when he drinks the pills he gets drowsy and very sleepy and he can barely stand on his 2 feet. He was told by Dr Snyders that he needs to complete the course of the pills. We went back today which is sunday 2 feb 14 and asked for a new sick note for work as my husband cant go to work in his condition. She refuses to assist us as she said she gave a sick note. But the sick note was before he was admitted we want a new sick note for work is that to much to ask??? My husband cant do his job if he is on strong medication! I need very Urgent feedback.
