My son is aged 25 and in the process of completing his Masters degree. Over the past year or more I have had endless issues with Barloworld Medscheme with regards to his continued membership on the scheme. I have sent numerous e-mails confirming my sons dependency as he does not have a job and is a full time student.

One week you get an e-mail confirming his continued membership (which I obviously am paying for), then the next you get another e-mail requesting that you confirm his details and whether or not his membership be extended. This has gone on continuously as mentioned over the past year. In December 2013, I resent information to the Scheme at their request and asked for urgent feedback. Needless to say, they never replied and a few days back send me an e-mail stating that his membership has been discontinued due me not having sent them the information they requested. Perhaps Barloworld Medscheme should consider employing competent staff that can actually read e-mails etc... I am fed up with the level of service...
