Cape Stay
Online fake - accommadtion

Health & Medicine

I had made reservations at Lions View through the Cape Stay website in the month of February 2013 for the dates 26/12/2013 to 04/01/2014.At this stage of the booking everything seem to be legit as I was liaising via email and telephoincally in which i requested pictures of the accommodation to be sent to me, which was done and as an agreement a 50% deposit was to be made to secure booking and reminder 50%on arrival in cash and payment confirmation was sent and proof of confirmation was sent to us that booking was secure.
I then received an email on the 24/12/2013 at 11:50 pm that the reservation has been cancelled which I did not give any written or telephonic cancellation. The person who I was liaising with named ELAINE has not been answering my calls or responding to my emails for weeks and this email sent at 11:50 pm was sent from Elaine email address by a guy named Anton who stated she does not do reservations. Now I am stranded in Cape Town with no accomadtion for 9 nights and deposit was R 5175.00 been paid without any refund. This must be happening to many local or international clients who book through Cape Stay, who rip clients off ..BEWARE
