I have been here on various occasions and would usually recommend it to people. No more.

I booked through travel start, as I usually do. When checking in I was allocated a standard room, and not the deluxe sweet that I had paid for as was advertised.

The reception manager treated me like I was lying and looking for a free upgrade.
For some bizaar reason I had to phone, check and follow up with there assigned booking agent. I got an appology from Travel Start, who offered me a refund on the difference and suggested I rebook with the hotel at 3 times the price I had originally paid. I told them to get knotted and sort it out with the hotel.
Still not sure what is going to happen when I go to check out.

We are lucky if the room has been cleaned by 16.00.
The food at the gin box restraunt is peutrid, and for some bezar reason takes them almost an hour just to make a really bad toasted sandwich.
The christmas lunch cost almost R1000 for 2 adults and a child. The Michelango in Sandton is about the same price, but again, the lunch was less than stellar. A 10 year old with no experience could prove more adapt at producing a better meal.

My recommendation is, stay away.
