Spectramed is the worst medical aid and I will advise people not to go with them. I'm currently on mommy baby package as I'm 4 months pregnant, when i phoned they informed me that 3 pregnancy scans will be paid by the medical aid yet they rejected a pregnancy scan. When I phoned them I was informed that this was a special scan and they dont cover it. There was nothing special about this scan it was a normal scan to determine due date.
Also they claim to pay 100% for hospital treatment yet you have to pay out of my savers for the doctor's check up while you in hospital - I was in hospital for 4 days and I'm sitting with doctors bills like you cant believe.
