Long waiting periods for emergency services

My 20 month old son injured his mouth by diving head first into the headboard. Rushed him to hospital. Only to wait for over 40 minutes in the casualty ward. The sign in process in all took over 20 minutes including initial report and the wait of 40 minutes. Why go to a private hospital and pay high prices for quality care if you are going to wait for over an hour for your cut child to be seen to. This is atrocious service. I truly understand that there could be worse cases that could have come in and likely have... but private hospitals should be prepared for this kind of thing. Noone is better than the next guy but allowing a cut to heel before you get there only to havr to reopen the wound because of tardiness... ridiculous!!!
