Accommodation cancelled on day of arrival!

After making a reservation a week in advance Agoda called at 12 o'clock of the day of the reservation to advise us the hotel was over booked and our reservation was cancelled. They subsequently put us in a different hotel which was of inferior quality! They stood back and refused to help us source a hotel of similar quality and did nothing to compensate us besides offering a refund.
