Liberty Medical Scheme
No payment of a hospital bill

I am from Germany and I have been in South Africa for 3 years now. I signed a medical aid with Liberty Health Scheme at the 01st August 2013.
On Sunday the 13th August I had a motorbike accident and I broke my right collar bone. I had to go to a MediClinic in Worcester for an emergency operation. The costs are now about 60.000R for the operation and one night in the hospital plus about 2.000R for X-ray.
Liberty don't want to pay the costs because I have a waiting period for 3 month and so I am only covered after the 01st November.
Is that right? It was an accident! I understand a waiting period for former illnesses but not for an accident!
Can somebody give me an advice what to do? Thank you!
