We have been trying to get authorisation for payment to see the doctor for the past hour. I was initially informed that the funds had been depleted by the consultant at Lesedi clinic. This didnt make sense as my girlfriend knew that she had more than enough in her savings. I insisted that i wanted to talk to Medschem directly.i was then told a different story altogether "that we need authorisation from the auth department since she was on a savings scheme in a case of a follow up in hospital after a car accident".we were also informed that we would need a motivation from the doctor to support her claim. The pain started when we called the auth department on 0860100081 to interact with the worst IVR in the world that asked a thousand questions and would disconnect the call whenever we didnt answer correctly. We have someone in pain that urgently need medical care but had to waist an hour while authorisation was requested.i tried calling back the 0860002148 where i initially spoke to a human but it was just engaged a number of times. I ended up paying R1300 cash since she couldnt take the pain while she pays for medical aid that she cant utilise in a time of need!
