When I resigned from my job in May, I filled out a continuation of service form with the HR representative at my company, St John's DSG, Tracey Meier. She was supposed to submit the form to the broker on my behalf. According to Momentum, an email was sent requesting the form which was never answered by Momentum resulting in Momentum just cancelling my medical aid with no confirmation by me or no notification whatsoever. I discovered this fact yesterday. In trying to sort out the mess, I am told that I have to now pay R14, 000 in premiums to reactivate my membership when I wasn't covered from June until now. I have two daughters, one of 2 and one of 9 months. There is apparently no concern whatsoever on the part of this company for members. Disgusting service.
